CEIBS GE22 lobby renovation

How we refurbished a part of our school

Class reffort to refurbish the school's lobby with own resources - from paper to shape 🎉

Our CEIBS Global Executive MBA Programme Class of '22 had this farfetched idea of making an orthodox donation to our school as appreciation for our time here. We then looked around for a part of the campus to refurbish - alas, the hotel lobby reception. Because, let’s face it, every great idea deserves a fabulous entrance!

For many China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) students, this is the very first point of contact with the school when starting any programme, and thus our class hopes this serves as an inspiration of how creative we can get in giving back to the community.

This project is just another shining example of the incredible resources we have within our class. Our talented architect James Lew (GreenbergFarrow (GF), sketched out a vision that would make I.M. Pei proud. And thanks to the huge generosity of Jonas Kohns (Oldenburger Interior GmbH & Co. KG) that vision has now leapt from the drawings into the real world.

Also, due appreciation to our project team which included Anne Hans van der Boon, MSc, GEMBA, our class managers Yuqi Wei and Sarah Yujie Liu, Associate Dean Bala Ramasamy, Director Isa and the CEIBS Foundation. Your support has made this project not just possible, but a rather fun experience. Dean Prof. Frank Bournois said we could continue, I guess, one lobby at a time 🏛️
