“A journey through time and space” - that’s how we at the France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) celebrated 60 years of Sino-French relations at this year’s #Charity #Gala at MGM MACAU. Sounds fancy, right? Who doesn’t want to feel like they’ve just stepped onto a time-travelling spaceship while sipping fine wine?
What I’m particularly proud of is that the organizing committee (led by our beloved Ada Lo - thanks for making sure we don’t accidentally time-travel to the wrong decade) decided to give the proceeds to an NGO close to my heart: Oxfam. As a proud council member, I’ve seen first-hand their amazing work in the fight against inequality, poverty and injustice!
FMCC maintained its commitment to #sustainability with the 2nd edition of the Macau ESG Awards 2024 and shine a light on those doing good for the community. Because what’s more glamorous than saving the planet while wearing a tuxedo? Proud once again of Oxfam Hong Kong (was a pure coincidence, MGM also happened to win best ESG project hehe).
Now, aside from the exquisite #French food (who doesn’t love a good soufflé?) and #entertainment from Alice and the Wanderers (who, missing one band member stuck in Shanghai, still made quite the show), it’s really the members and #friends of this Chamber that make the evening unforgettable.
