Just got back from the Macau Liaison Office's Chinese New Year 2025 reception, and let me tell you, the speeches were as festive as the dumplings though the bar is being set high 🥟
The director highlighted the symbiosis between the office and the people of Macau - it’s like a well-tuned duet🎤 that allowed for this hard-won societal stability and harmony.
He urged us to embrace reforms seizing the wave of the past 25 years of achievements, which Macau's Chief Executive followed by saying his Gov will sperhead - Aye, aye captain, waiting the direction ⚓
The director also emphasized the importance of aligning Macau's development plans on a more macro level, referring to the expectations laid out by President Xi Jinping on occasion of his visit last month. Actually, we've been brainstorming ideas on how to make this happen🤝
The Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin was again a highlight, but a lot more needs to be done for this project to become a reality - well, no pain, no gain 💪 our team is already involved, but our hope is to go much further !
