In a late shout out, had the opportunity to attend the Rotary Kowloon Golden Mile gala, invited by its president Richard Albuquerque and joining his dear family, incl. son Liam Albuquerque who likewise my cousin works at JPM, current District Governor Andy Li and his lovely wife Jane, and João Francisco Pinto, who aside from a career journalist and esteemed friend is the president of the Macau club, and never ceases to amaze me by explaining all the organizational harmony of the Rotary Club and the good work that they do.
In fact, during the event, we got glimpses of why many put such dedication and effort in the many clubs around the district of HK, MO, Guangdong and Mongolia, sharing their good fortunes towards different societal causes, lifting the community together to new heights!
Also during the event, a show of talents of the club's members, incl. a stunning performance by former DG David Harilela, for whose family we share a kind esteem.
And good luck to DG Nominee Nigel Lo for the new role ahead!
So great to see many old friends and meet new ones - the force was definitely with us that night !
