☀️ While soaking up the sun on holiday with my dear family, couldn’t help sharing my awe for one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the Taj Mahal 🇮🇳
Legend has it that Shah Jahan was so heartbroken over the loss of his beloved Mumtaz Mahal that he decided to channel that sorrow into something extraordinary. Talk about investing in talent - he enlisted some of the finest architects in the region, and the result? A mausoleum that would stand the test of time.
Fast forward two decades and 20,000 people, the main building was completed. Over three centuries later, it is a symbol of pride in India, drawing more than 5 million visitors each year - the sheer power of identity and symbolism that resonates globally 🌏
I thought I knew what to expect from the photos, but seeing the Taj in person was a game-changer. It’s amazing how the power of a story can transform a mere sight into a profound experience.
Great complement to my last more business oriented visit with my school China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) for our EMBA. And a good excuse for me to now to show off a talent of my own, or lack thereof, in photography 📸
Also, as we enter the Year of the Snake, wish you all good health, prosperity, and maybe a little adventure of your own 🐍
Namaste
